Apple Pie (Performance in Education) uses an interactive drama approach to teaching children and young people of all ages and abilities.

We offer workshops to cover a wide range of PSHE based issues. Also available is Peer support training, PPA cover and after school Drama classes.

The PSHE workshops cover issues such as RSE, Anti-bullying, Smoking Awareness, Alcohol Awareness, Drug Awareness, Knife Awareness, Medicine Safety, Road Safety and Healthy Eating.

We enable young people to explore feelings and attitudes, as well as practice skills and gain knowledge.

Workshops usually last between 45-90 minutes depending on the age but all can be tailored in terms of timings and content to meet the needs of the school. Young people will be asked to interact within the workshops both as an audience and as participants in drama exercises, group activities and discussions. The sessions use ideologies and methods behind 'Mantle of the Expert' and 'Drama for learning'

PPA cover and DramaRama classes can focus purely on drama skills and techniques or can be set in a context appropriate to your school and be based around current topics.

The Peer support training programme enables young people to learn the appropriate skills for supporting their fellow pupils break times.

Peer Support Training

The quality of training is excellent; inspirational and really motivating for the students.
It carried them throughout the rest of the year in their role as buddies.

Workshops

James’ delivery was excellent with just the right amount of
activities that were motivating and engaging.

DramaRama

The children immediately felt at ease with James. The warm
activity had children thinking and moving and was a good
introduction to the session. The class particularly responded
well to the role play activities.
