The drama facilitator James Appleyard BA(Hons) Drama in the Community, has seventeen years experience in working with children and young people both as an actor and workshop leader with the PDL Team (formerly PSDI Team), Pintsize Theatre Company and Stagecoach Theatre School and has been running DramaRama after school drama classes for the last nine years.
Our PSHE workshops cover issues such as Anti-bullying, Drug Awareness, Alcohol Awareness, Road Safety, Healthy Eating, SRE and Internet safety. They enable young people to explore feelings and attitudes, as well as practice skills and gain knowledge.
Workshops usually last for 60 minutes depending on the age but all can be tailored in terms of timings and content to meet the needs of the school. The young people will interact within the workshops both as an audience and as participants in drama exercises, group activities and discussions.
The PPA cover and drama classes on offer can focus purely on drama skills and techniques and can also be linked to a current topic of the school.
