With the success of our after school clubs, Apple PIE is now pleased to announce that it will be offering story-telling and drama sessions for younger children.
The session will last for one hour and involve interactive story-telling using various drama techniques, games and time for group role-play with costumes and props. The sessions are suitable for 2-4 yr olds with parents and carers encouraged to join in with the activities.
We’ll encourage children to explore the World that story books create, thinking about how we can use our bodies, faces and voices to become characters, objects and places. Most of all we’d like to inspire children, parents and carers alike to enjoy the experiences that storytelling and role-play can generate whilst developing communication and confidence.
The drama practitioner James Appleyard has over 10 years of experience working with children and young people and has a BA(Hons) degree in Drama in the Community. He has a current CRB check and the sessions are fully insured.
